Iceland on the other hand will be playing at a world cup for the first time in history.

The FIFA ranking of Argentina as of October 2017 is 4 and that of Iceland is 18. Argentina has been crowned champions of the FIFA World Cup twice, once in 1978 and another time in 1986. They have also been runner ups thrice, in 1930, 1990 and the last FIFA World Cup of 2014 hosted by Brazil. Iceland on the other hand has never qualified for the World Cup before and their only international entry was at the UEFA EURO 2016 league.
